WOMHA sends out quarterly newsletters to empower Oregon behavioral health professionals through education. Each release will feature information from the experts in our legislative advocacy committee OIMHP to help you understand trends in insurance company behaviors and your rights under federal and state laws. Winter 2025

Learn about the Coding Advisor Program letters monitoring utilization of CPT code 90837 and what to do if you receive one (or several). Register to attend our April 11th continuing education event on Suicide Assessment and Treatment. We also introduce you to HB 3725, OIMHP's Mental Health Parity Transparency and Fairness Bill which reduces power imbalances between behavioral health providers and insurance companies, and creates a pipeline for providers to report insurer actions that violate mental health parity laws. Lastly, we share OIMHP's 2025 legislative agenda.

Fall 2024

Learn about why major insurance companies are raising reimbursement rates in Oregon when they remain low, stagnant, and even decreasing in many other states.
